Having trained as a Handicrafts teacher at Shoreditch College in London, gaining a Distinction in Advanced Woodwork in 1966 and after a short school teaching career, Jeremy set up a small workshop in Bath in 1973 creating innovative furniture.
He was won several awards including a Churchill Travel
Scholarship and has exhibited at major UK shows over four decades. He has lectured extensively in the UK, in Ireland,
and in Finland and Australia.
In 2006 He was voted Professional Woodworker
of the Year. Sponsored by the Woodworker magazine
and Ryobi Power Tools UK.
In 1989 he was invited by GMC Publications Ltd to write a book called 'The Incredible Router' which became their flagship bestseller.
'The Encyclopedia of Woodworking Techniques' was voted a Top UK Title in 1993. He has written for the major UK woodworking magazines since 1962.
Jeremy is a self-taught film maker having set up Thinking Hand Video in 1988 and his low budget films
uniquely capture the spirit and passion of his chosen craft.
