A fast and efficient method of chippings removal with the router pioneered by Jeremy Broun in 1989. It uses the inherent weakness in wood fibres (short grain) to rapidly cut away in overlapping vertical strokes with far less resistance to material than the conventional method of stepped horizontal passes. The quick way to cut large recesses (eg mortices).
